I want to focus on the reason behind alcohol abuse between teenagers (13-21).
Questions that I want to answer:
1. Why are Natives more vulnerable to alcoholism?
2. What social problems cause Native teenagers to pick up drinking?
3. What are the current standards in public reservation High Schools? Why is there a 70% drop out rate?
4. How does the rest of the US see Natives?
5. What has been done in the past to solve this issue? why has it failed?
6. Under what conditions do Native Americans live? Is the government making a stand?
Secondary Research: I would start here because I want to be informed before jumping into conducting interviews/ primary sources.
1. Watch the documentary "We Shall Remain" (2009) five-part series that shows how Native Americans have struggled for land from the 1600's to today.

4. Native Americans: A Forgotten people?

2. Try to find a native youth or a native adult to give me first hand information/ experiences. (interview)
